A Message From Ms. Noriega

Dear Taper Families,

I hope you and your loved ones are doing well. We are all thinking of you and missing you greatly!

As you know, LAUSD schools will remain closed through May 1st. Our Taper teachers and staff have been hard at work to ensure the continuity of instruction for their students. Our priority is to ensure every student at Taper has access to instructional materials. We are cognizant of the reality that many of you are juggling taking care of your families, working, and now home schooling, while navigating unprecedented times. We know the importance of making the instructional component as smooth and simple as possible for you to support your child st home.

Moving forward, we are lending Chromebooks to families who need access to technology. Parents who sent in their request have been emailed an appointment time with details. LAUSD has also partnered with various communication companies to make WiFi available to our families. You can find these details on our school website and Facebook page. We also have print instructional materials available for pick-up this Tuesday, March 31st from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM in front of the main office.

 TK – 1st (9 AM – 10 AM)  2nd – 3rd (10 AM – 11 AM)  4th – 5th (11 AM – 12 PM)

Please stay connected with your child’s teacher; communication is key. Our teachers can be reached through Class Dojo. Have your child work on their daily lessons, and most importantly, encourage your child to READ every day and talk about what they read.

With grace, empathy, and unity at the core of our hard work – we will get through this! My dear Taper families, stay safe and healthy.
